“In case a President fails to be elected tomorrow, those who refused to consent will be held responsible for the snap elections that will inevitably follow”, said Prime Minister Antonis Samaras in an exclusive interview to the governmental channel NERIT. He referred to the MPs who have shown unwillingness to vote for President and stressed the danger for the country, caused by the possibility of early elections. “Syriza”, he added, “wants to sacrifice the country like Iphigenia and to turn it into a scapegoat”.

It seems that all these years of co-operation with Mr. Baltakos have not been wasted.” Independent Greeks noted that the Prime Minister’s grief leads him to lack of prudence.
