International Monetary Fund foresees tax increase
The International Monetary Fund mentions through a report that the new medium-term program, that’s being drawn up, includes a tax raise of 12,4% for incomes obtained in 2013. As far as direct taxation is concerned, the increased revenues will derive from the abolition of tax exemption, the abolition of tax credit for children, the increase of tax of leasehold but also the increase of tax for freelancers. The International Fund warns that in case the efforts against tax evasion fail, in order to prevent a fiscal gap, additional measures will be adopted.
