The strike front broadens. The teachers of secondary education and the workers in Insurance Funds and the Labour Employment office began yesterday mobilisations against suspension. Today, hospitalists started a 3-day strike.

Mobilisations will escalate tomorrow and the day after tomorrow with a 48hour strike, declared by the Supreme Administration of Public Officials for the public sector.

The General Confederation of Greek Workers will participate tomorrow in the mobilisations with a 4hour work stoppage in the private sector, from 11 am until 3 pm.

According to the Federation of State School Teachers of Secondary Education, more than 90% of the teachers participated in yesterday’s strike. Representatives of the ministry though talk about a 70%.
