No glamorous festivities for this year’s anniversary of democracy restoration. In his message, president of the Republic, Karolos Papoulias, pointed out that the value of democracy is in constant need of safeguarding.

The three-day event dedicated to Democracy at ERT Aghia Paraskevi premises concludes today, with an open debate and a concert with “The songs of the Resistance”.

The musical programme includes passages from Mikis Theodorakis’ works “March of the Spirit” and “Axion Esti”.
